We start from Old Goa near the statue of Mahatma Gandhi, about 10km from Goa’s capital, Panaji. We pedal to the Daujim ferry ramp, take the traditional Goan Ferry across the Cumbarjua River to the riverine island of Santo Estevam. We ride through this village still relatively untouched by urbanization, stopping at a village eatery for a traditional breakfast. We visit the village church, then take a ride up to a hill to the fort of Santo Estevam, with a fantastic view. We then pedal back to Old Goa via the arch suspension Gaundalim bridge.
