Ocean Treks

An Ocean Trek is a hike on a hillside along the sea. It’s radically different from the conventional concept of a ‘trek’. As one walks, the powerful presence of the sea is a constant – one sees the churning surf or hears the waves pounding the shore.

Ocean Trek Neuti
In the Sindhudurg District of South Coastal Maharashtra. Our destination is the fort of Neuti, built during the reign of the great Maratha warrior King, Shivaji. A magnificent Malwani meal makes the walk worthwhile.
The itinerary:
Trek along a scenic hillside overlooking the Arabian Sea | Visit completely deserted virgin beaches | The Ocean Trek ends at the pristine Neuti Beach | Take a leap into the sea from a 5m high cliff (optional) | Visit the ruins of a Maratha fort overlooking the Vengurla Rocks | Includes breakfast, cold Nimboo Pani, a 12-course coastal Malvani lunch and afternoon tea.

Ocean Trek Arambol
In North Goa. This trek takes you through different kinds of terrain – grassland plateau, deep forest, a seaside sweet-water lake and a seaside cliff.
The itinerary:
Walk across the deserted and grassy Paliem plateau | Plunge through a dense evergreen natural forest as you follow a perennial stream down to the northern Arambol Beach, famous for its freshwater lake right next to the sea | Walk across a hillside along the sea, past spectacular seascape scenery, to reach Goa’s northernmost and least commercialised beach, Keri.

Expedition Neuti: Sea Kayak + Trek
In the Sindhudurg District of South Coastal Maharashtra. We combine sea kayaking with an ocean trek and some spectacular traditional Malwani breakfast and lunch in a wonderful setting. Adventure doesn’t get much better than this.
