Trekking with The Experts

I have been interested in animal husbandry, care and behaviour since a very young age. From a childhood visit to Uttara’s Ark (run by Mr. Neelimkumar Khaire of The Indian Herpetological Society) with a rescued turtle, to continued visits there while in college, to being pulled in to assist with an injured camel, my chapter with wild animal care, rescue and rehabilitation continues to this day.
I started work with Nisargavedh, a non-government organization from Pune, founded by ornithologist Mr. Kiran Purandare. At first a researcher in gruelling field conditions successfully managing projects with dedication and innovation and now as a practitioner with high expertise in animal handling and behaviour, I have built a dog behaviour consultation business while also being involved in snake rescue.
My first and foremost love being the creepie crawlies I have provided special inputs on Herpetofauna for many individuals and organisations. Snakes intrigue me. I have a genuine passion for observing, rescuing and taking care of them. Ethical reptile rescue is of great importance to me.
Over time I have garnered excellent field knowledge across the Indian region. As a resource person for several nature camps, I have been able to share this practical understanding of biodiversity with a variety of people to promote love for wildlife and enthusiasm for nature conservation.
My original inclination towards wildlife conservation has now translated into an interest in ecological restoration and sustainable living practices. Once I build a mud house on a restored land close to a forest, all my dreams will come true!
